	Sonique .62 beta A great player with a great set of features, plays beside MP3 also mod, it, s3m, wav and cd audio.

An MP3 encoder is a program that allows you to convert wav-files into mp3 format. You can compress the file size down to 10% of the original size, almost without reducing the quality of the sound. In other words, a 40Mb wav-soundtrack would only be 4Mb if you convert it into MP3. This is a great way to store soundtracks on your computer or a public server.

A CD ripper is a tool you need if you want to make MP3's of the music you have on your CD's. It will rip the music from the CD, and save it as a wav-file on your computer. You will then have to use an Mp3 encoder to convert the wav-files into MP3 format.
